Decembest of the Best

Christmas brings joy to our hearts. It reminds us the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ who sacrificed his own life to redeem us from our sins.
The essence of Christmas is sharing, sharing anything that you have to all who needs it especially the poor and the needy. It is not an ordinary sharing, it is sharing with love, care and respect. Love in a way that you love yourself, care in a way that on how you care to your family and respect, even though they are poor we should respect them because we are all equal to e eyes of God.
This December we were so busy because there were many activities that we've done.
First is the Christmas Celebration in our campus. All clubs namely Comm-Arts Club, Sci-Math Club and the MAKABAYAN Club, they show what they've got in a short entertainment which is so entertaining and fun. We were also participated in the main activity of the day which is called "The Nativity Story". This story concerns on how Mary gave birth to Jesus despite of shortcomings, negligence and tragedy. And the last activity that we've done was the "Tribute to Teachers". Tears showered upon us especially the Teachers because they don't expect that it was so wonderful and touching.
The next day I wake up so early because we, the Choir Music Ministry, scheduled to sing in the First Misa de Gallo for this year. OMG, there were so many people who attended the said event. After the mass, I went back to our house to eat my breakfast. After I ate i quickly went to our school because I am excited for our Christmas Party. We start our party with many games. We enjoyed it a lot. The last part of our party was the gift-giving, we cried so much because it is our last Christmas Party that we all gathered together. But we remind to our self that we stayed together in the hearts of everyone.

Halo-Halo Mixture

October had past and November came with mixed revelations and excitement with in my life.
Everything was fun, full of sadness and loneliness but still happiness and joyfulness was there to keep myself held on.
November, November, November, the month of death of our loved ones in our nation. Commemorate, pray and loved them is the only way that we can do.
Everyone was busy, studying, playing bonding together, and sharing fresh news to everyone. I was busy too, getting ready for the incoming 3rd M.P.T. which is important for us. Study hard which I always kept in my mind.

OCTOBERRFYING Part 2: DESTRUCTION OF TIREDNESS

“Vote straight, Vote wisely, Vote…” common words of candidates for politicians, are you irritating, annoying and frustrating? They are always saying that common phrase, bad sound for our ears. But what is our topic for this event? Ahmmmmmmmmm, I know it is the Sangguniang Kabataan Election or usually called the SK election. The candidates and voters should be 16 years old and above. This is my 1st time to vote because I’m already 16 years old. I thought in this election voting is easy but it wasn’t, it is horrible. We fall a line where teenagers like me are there. We stand three hours for this election, grrrrrrrrrr. I’m so mad, it is so tiring but I’m so happy for my classmates who are running for different placers for SK. Most of them won! I’m so glad. And congratulation to Mr. Maurison S. Aquino for winning the Brgy. Kagawad in Cacaritan their hometown. “Aligwas ya kareenan, balong Cacaritan”. Stop the commercial, back to our topic because of the SK election held on October 25, the classes were suspended.
The next day we are getting ready for the next activity, it is the Acting Workshop. But before that, we take an audition before becoming the participant for the said event. There were guest mentors who will teach us and improve our skills in singing, dancing and as well as acting. The mentors were not an ordinary mentors, they came from Saint Louis University. This is a 2 day seminar for us to give our best shot in all the fields of theater arts. We enjoyed so much in the seminar because we learned so much, big thanks for the guest speakers and mentors who managed their time to attend in this seminar workshop. We gave our sincerest gratitude to them as well as the Comm-Arts teachers who planned for this stunning and impeccable workshop. After the workshop we immediately practice and wear our costume because we are participant for the Living Rosary. I sighed, it is not yet our time to rest because Camporal is coming up. They gave us one day practice to make ourselves ready. We practiced all the Scout games, we choreograph our dance and we planned what will be the right thing to do. The next day, we built our tent, where we will take our nap for one night. Sir Menor immediately started the Scout Games, we did a great job because we gained all the 1st place, night came, we enjoyed a lot because there were many unexpected things that happened even though I have paper cuts and my body aches, still we enjoyed a lot because the show must go on. No one can stop us to enjoy every minute of our night. Morning came, and it’s time to clean our zones because it is time to go, home sweet home.
Time management is the beat way to get along this situation. Use this method of managing time properly so it can result to a successive performance.

OCTOBERRFYING Part 1: POWER UNLEASHED

Set all things in their own peculiar place, and know that order is the greatest grace. Yes that’s right, set all things in their respective places. But when a tragic came, what should we do? Cancel the things that you’ve planned or believe in the saying “the show must go on”. This topic what I am telling about is the United Nation Celebration because of the storm, heavy rain poured and it slightly distract the said event. Even though the storm was harsh, the said event still results into a spectacular celebration. In the celebration, there was a apart there called the “Trade Fair”, where all 4th year students are present. This event shows how good we are in selling products that we have. We should be smart in giving prices in different food that we are selling so that we can earn a lot of money. As usual, there was a competition on the said event. We should entertain the customers to buy our products. After that hectic and tiring three days of work, we did a great job, we earned a lot of money it is because we planned so hard on what foods are to be sell, and lastly we cooperate so much with each other. There are designated places where should we work, others are assigned as the cook, the vendors, the planner, the buyer of products on what to be sell and at last our manager, who manages all things in this event. After the strenuous and back-breaking week, we thought that still it will be a hectic schedule for us because it is our exam week but we are wrong, big help for the storm the classes are suspended for two days it is because heavy rain poured and thunders roared. It results to a flood that totally affects all people, so the Dep-ED and CHED decided that the classes will be suspended for two days in all year levels. Yes, it is my time to review well, I didn’t waste my time playing around and in making unnecessary things because it is our 2nd P.T. I will do my best to gain high grades because of the suspended classes, the date of our examination was moved into October 22-23. So there is no waste of time in this Examination, I will do my best every second, every minute, every hour and everyday. Because the purpose why we entered in a school is to learned and lastly to gain high grades which we craves and our parents wants to us.

Logical Power

Review, review, and review an ordinary student must do. Don’t force yourself to do, just enjoy and have fun when you want to review. It is our obligation to review and study well because it is our main purpose while our parents entered us in a school. To review, to learn, to act as a good son/daughter and to avoid vices and bad doings are also the main purposes while we entered in a school. OMG, I really, really hate examinations but it is our stipulation. So hard to put all the things in your memories at once but you can do it I mean I can do it, I know that I can do all of this things with my own initiative. As time passed by more examinations will come and now the 2nd Mid Periodical Test will arrive and makes our life more busy and busy again. That week was good because the coverage of our examinations was few it is because of the many programs that our school governed. I reviewed a lot in that examinations because I want show to all of them how smart and generous is me. There were many funcitement memories that we’ve encountered after the unforgettable Intramurals 10-11. We work so hard on the said event results to a wonderful success. After the back-breaking week and again we are getting ready for the next examination for all 4th year students only for the NCAE or the National Career Assessment Examination, it is a permanent exam for all the 4th year students. It is an exam to show what course is suite and excellent for us. Our Subject Teacher reviewed us more about the incoming examination but I didn’t listen carefully. Most of us didn’t review a lot because we have the stock knowledge to answer the entire question that they ask for despite of inattentiveness in school. I made serious of it because I realized that all the opportunity that comes to our way grab it and it will make you a successive person.

Sacrableau! Impressive!

Many have called but few are chosen. Many have strived but few surpassed. Many have tried but few survived. Early date in this September, getting ready for the genuine, conscientious and once in a year Intramurals. The facilitator for this Incoming Intramural built a one-day try out for the aspiring athletes to proof that they are worthy in that competition. Being an athlete or a player is a big opportunity for us to show how good we are in playing ball games and an athlete sports. It is not easy to become either a player or an athlete because you should do your best on every game that you have, there’s no room for errors, show what you’ve got. Don’t make your fears and b=nervousness kill and defeat you instead destroy it and make your dreams and goals inspire you and that is the source of your whole power when playing. Here we come, the exciting, hectic and much awaiting week of this month of September, the week of Intramurals.
Do you know what is the main purpose for having an Intramural is to develop the ability and skill of the students in each game, their aptitude is not yet develop so Intramurals was built for the amateur students who are craving to be, Laila Barros, one of the great and an International volleyball player. Came from Brazil, Michael Jordan, an International basketball player of Los Angeles Lakers and many more. Another purpose of this event is the word “exposure” which means unrestrictedly showing your talent in public in unveiled places. There are only 3 consecutive days for us to practice and revive our ability in different events. OMG, 3 days... can we? I thought that there were 1 week practice before the Intramurals just like the past few years.
AHA, I know the reason, it is because there were many affair that happened in this school year, just like on July, the nutrition Month celebration coerced by the Makabayan Club. On August, the Buwan ng Wika Celebration managed by the Communication Arts Club, and now on September, the Sci-Math Celebration, dominated by the Science and Math Club. And from this October, we are encountering then celebration coming from the Makabayan Club, This event is the UN or the United Nation and hope so that on November we will celebrate the Halloween Party, but wait who will manage this said event? Ahmmm maybe the SCAAC, hahaha, just kidding.
Returning to our topic, the said event is one of the most awaiting part of the school year because 3 consecutive days were the days the event appointed. Here we are again, as our adviser, Maam Glo, told to us that the team when we are in our 3rd year is again our team in 4th year. Gosh, I thought that there will be another team that should be assigned to us and/or Maam continued to say that to avoid expenses because there were many expenditure to pay on and on, so they reached to a decision that the jersey last year will be the one that will be use for the incoming Intramurals, but many of us ignore on that case because it is our last year in this school, we have the freedom to choose what we want because of this craving attitude of ours they decided again to buy jersey. Yes! Ahhaha and now September 23, 2010 will arrive. Most of the students were excited.
Early Morning on the 1st day of the Intramurals there were a dance showdown that will compete by team. We were the second performer after the great performance by the Gray Sharks and here we come as we heard the lyrics of the song, Do you Remember, “alright, alright, alright”, my heart pumped so much because we are all together. We were synchronized to each other, what a spectacular performance. The head of the event, Sir Dominador Menor, told to all of us that the 1st game on all the events will start after 10 mins. I’m so shocked because we are the one who will play in the first game in Volleyball competing to white wolves but unfortunately we didn’t won, spirit wasn’t good enough they are too strong for us to beat but we didn’t lose hope instead we’re seeking for our 1st win. The 2nd day arrives and again we are the one who will fight in the first game in this 2nd day. We fought the Blue Phoenix, in set 1 we got it, we beat them but in Set 2 our overconfidence results in losing and in the last set, gosh… 11-14. We lose huhuhuhuhu. I’m so embarrassed. I realized that on the 1st place I gave all what I’ve got. We don’t blame anybody for that scenario but our teammate, RG cried because he thought that because of him we lost. We explained to him everything and after that the problem was solved. After that assiduous, hectic and perseverant week, here we come the announcement of results, which the strongest that survived. Our Dear Sir Elmer and Maam Arma, both MAPEH teachers, announced the results. 5th place goes to Gold tigers; yes! we are shouting and happy. 4th place goes to blue eagles, White wolves garnered 3rd place and 2nd place goes to Gray sharks. Woooh!
We were sweating in this breath taking moment. In the 1st place, we thought that we were the on either 3rd or 2nd place but were wrong we did a great job. Here is it, the first place goes to Green Vipers. The team of Red Dragons was shouting because they are the Champion of Intramurals 2010-2011. Instead of going into a corner and cry we are contented on that because they deserved it but there’s a little embarrassment for me because it is our last year in SCA. We were wishing to be the champion, but our best wasn’t good enough. We learned so much in this competition. We prove that we deserved all what we’ve got. I love this moment because unity flowed upon our section, my classmates, my comrades and my four years of lovable and unforgettable friends. IV-ST. Francis is the best section that I’ve had in my high school Life. Because of this event, we discerned a lot and one thing that make me more competitive and it is the phrase “True Athlete never quit”

Delinquent beyond my wings

One hot afternoon in the St. Francis’ classroom while our Sir Maurison Aquino is discussing about our recent lesson I’m starting to get bored because of that session. I look far, far, far away, a thousand miles beyond, from the flying birds across the blue and cuddly clouds. I’m embarkation to dream with scrupulous of some stuff that I’m chimera of. I’m fantasizing that our dear Sir was engaged to Angelina Jolie, a hot Hollywood star. Whoo, what a great imagination and swiftly, they told us that we are part of the extravagant wedding that will be happen soon. So jubilant for our Sir and suddenly my classmate pushed me and because of that I’m out of my concentration for my imagination and my center of my attention goes to my classmate and he told me that Sir Maurison chose me to recite about the question that I didn’t heard, sadly I didn’t get the correct answer because I’m so engrossed about my insight. What a facetious imagination but it might happen because our Sir is so robust. Another day was passed, new demur and quandary are coming up but I can fathom it, I mean we, because I can’t do it without my infatuated, amorous and solicitous friends without them I can’t do it because they are the one that I grasping my dynamism. The day the Earth stood still. New erudition, lore and information were absorbed by our memories. It was easy enough because our dazzling Sir discussed it well and great and also because of the big help of the RCC program, the new curriculum that implemented and ventilates to all the Catholic schools in our region. Our lovely Sir deputized us to search for the meaning of the following: Advertisement, a public notice to advertise something. Next was the Propaganda or the spreading of ideas to damage a cause and to further understand what Propaganda is all about. They added to discussed about the 5 Kinds of Propaganda so that we can learn further more. These are Bandwagon, it aims at persuading people to do a certain thing because many other people are doing or using it. Examples are Clear, Pantene and Jollibee. It is used of words of a famous persons to promote a particular idea that’s what I describe the Testimonial the 2nd kind of Propaganda. Examples of this Propaganda are Bear Brand, Vaseline and Head and Shoulders. Honda, Colt45, and Whisper are some of the examples of the 3rd Propaganda which is the Transfer. It is qualities of a known person are associated with a product to promote it. The 4th Propaganda is the Repetition or the product name is repeated many times during an advertisement. Some examples are Blend 45, Stick-O, and Swish. It meant to generate positive feelings in the minds of the masses. It describes the last Propaganda, the Emotional Words. Some examples are Rexona, Palmolive, and Colgate. Whoo, another lesson had done hope that more lessons to come so that we can accumulate more and more stint to us and maybe we can use it for our post existence and future state life. I sighed, I thought that all of our lessons our done but I’m quite erroneous because there was another one to be brush up on. This stuff what I am talking about was the Sentence, specifically the Structures of a Sentence. It comprises with the Simple, Compound, Complex, and Compound-Complex Sentences. It was easy as can be like stealing candy from a baby, because we already rendezvous it. The date that all students wait, the day that all the Charlesians prepare of, The 1st Periodical Test. OMG, all of the content of our Test Paper was application, analyzing texts, comprehension tests and reading exercises so we should understand it carefully because one mistake is a big forfeit for us. The content of our Test Paper were the things that we’ve learned in the month of August. Hope that I can get a high grades in this examination and always remember that “Surname First”. In the 1st place, I thought that aren’t lessons to be argue it is because this month of August was the “Buwan ng Wika” with the theme:”Sa Pangangalaga ng Wika at Kalikasan, wagas na Pagmamahal talagang kailangan”. The club that organizes this celebration was the COM-ARTS CLUB and led by our English coordinator, Mr. Maurison Aquino and the Filipino Coordinator, Mr. Terence De Guzman. Being one of the members of this organization, I did my job as a affiliate. I act as the facilitator in III-St. Ignatius occurring about the exhibit and poster slogan that happened during the celebration week. There were also contests that test our skills in writing: essay-writing contest and poem-making contest. If you are good in composing and vocalizing song, you are the one that they looking for, the song-making contest. Another is when you are congenial in speaking at the front or at the stage or your great in debate, you are the one that they looking for, the “Balagtasan”. And the last one if you love the latest style and prevailing taste in new fashion, you are the one that they looking for, the “Pagrampa”. WTH, the day that all of the Charlesians waiting for, the announcement of all the winners on all the activities that we’ve done. Our center of concentration was in the announcement of winners in exhibit and poster slogan, sad to say that in poster slogan we garnered 3rd place, I thought that our poster slogan was beautiful but it wasn’t good enough. In exhibit we were confidently that we were the 1st place because we have the originality, uncommon and absolutely unique. But we wondered that we just garnered 2nd place. I anticipated we were the champion but it wasn’t good enough again. But its alright, 18 and 16 points were fine for us but when our Sir told us last Friday, August 27,2010, that we did a great job on the celebration and he saw our tiredness and maybe he feels that were so exhausted to all because most of us were participants in the celebration. He gave us 20 points, a perfect score, in the exhibit. One thing that I can say to our benevolent, authentic, and honorable Sir Maurison, thank you for the trust that you’ve given to us, the trust to make the celebration successful. Again, again and again, THANK YOU VERY MUCH our loving and caring teacher, SIR MAURISON S. AQUINO.

Soar high, my high school life

OMG, Sir Maurison exempt us in our all examinations, how great is that. This is all of the students want for their studies. Wait, somebody is calling me. Wake up my son, it is already 6:00 in the morning you will be late for your school. I sighed; it is just a fantasy dream that would never happen for my entire high school life. As 2:00 of the afternoon past away, here we are our conscientious, auspicious, genuine and gratifying teacher, Sir Maurison. He is always encouraged us to participate, relieve and cooperate to our lesson in each day. There was a time that our extravagant Sir assigned us a homework that we should make two artificial and improvised feathers. I don’t know what should we do on those things, and here it is the day, the day that we’ve been waiting for, on how the feathers work on our lesson. But before that, there was a performance came from my selected classmates whom they portray and have a simple yet beauteous play about the story “Icarus and Daedalus”, adapted from the Greek Mythology story. After that, two thumbs up was given by Sir Maurison to all who perform because they did great on that scene even though there were bloopers that happened on that scenario. After that magnificent play, we turned back to our activity, the two feathers. Our Sir asked to us to closed our eyes, and then they started to talked with a medley song. They talked about all the things that made us cry, memorable things that have been clashed to us, on all the things that we can’t give to our family. Suddenly, they told to us that what should we do on those ersatz feathers and then they uttered to us that we can use this to reach our dreams, achieve our goals and to aim all the targets in our life. I cried so much because of that activity, I realized that it is time for a change, to make our dreams come true. As time passes by together with our drying tears in our eyes, we gave our two feathers to our classmates that I’ve think they can change my life. I gave the first feather to my long time bestfriend since first year. He is a prank but an awesome guy, he is Alvin D. Manzon, a great comrade of mine. The another feather was given to my precious fella of mine, she is always there in times of my sadness. She is there to advice me on the right thing to do. She is Sahara Mae V. Tamayo, a one of a kind friend of mine. I received too a feathers to my dear classmates. The first one is Alvin D. Manzon, as I said a while ago he is my bestfriend. Another is Sahara Mae V. Tamayo, again a companion of mine. The third one is Chelsea Mae V. Quevedo, an unforgettable colleague of mine. The last one is Kristine Mae C. Garcia, a long time consort of mine since in my elementary days. That activity was my unforgettable memories in my life. Every challenges and dilemma in our life, there were always be a retort, results to a great exploit. The shadow of my chaotic past fades away and the new shadow will appear with a chaste opportunity to make. That’s how my life turns around, left to right, up and down, side to side in this life changing world where all people live and die in with a great accomplishment that they did in their life.

The Will of the Wind

As time passed-by, new learning’s were encountered by us. It wasn’t easy enough but because of our goals in our life we surpassed it easily. In our English class there were many surprises and impact that we’ve engaged. In this class there were full of activities because of the RCC program of the Catholic schools. It is a new regulation contains that we should apply all the learning’s in our class through briskness. As usual, Subject Verb Agreement is always present in our lesson. It contains many rules that we should apply in defining, fabricating and constructing a sentence. It is always gratuity in our English class since in our 1st year life in high school. It is so confusing on learning this lesson because it wasn’t easy enough for me, I want to give up but because of my good and loving classmates I surpassed it with pleasure. They are the one of my inspiration why I’m exceeding myself to learn great and without fail. As time runs fast, there were many lessons that our handsome, attractive, charming, good-looking and intelligent teacher, Sir Maurison, taught to us. Even it is hard we are not losing hope because it is for our future life; we can use and apply it in our daily lives. I’m glad as well as flattered that we learned many lessons on just a few amount of time but some of it was not struggle yet by us. One thing that I can’t erase in my high school life and it is the phrase “Surname First”, a nosebleed and unforgettable rules and regulation in my life. As I took my examination test in English, I didn’t know that it was surname first so I erased my work and rewrite it with a surname first. I didn’t know neither notices that there was a rule that concerns the erasures in the blank page that we’re should we write our name. It is one of my biggest mistakes in my life. One thing that I can say to myself “remember this terrific rule”.
